Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly closing process
  • Ensure monthly preparation of management accounts
  • Oversee all bookkeeping records
  • Process sales invoices, receipts and payments
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Identify and implement financial controls and procedures
  • Liaise with management for the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Assist the team with other ad hoc duties as requested
  • Assist with reporting requirements of the business as required

Candidate’s Profile:

  • Diploma in Accounting/Finance from a recognized institution or ACCA level 2
  • At least 2 years’ working experience in a financial and accounting environment
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines is crucial
  • Must be confident dealing with people across seniority levels and departments
  • Computer literacy with a strong working knowledge of MS Excel and similar desktop applications
  • Ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Fluent both in English and French
