Service & Events Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all outlet Team Members provide an effective and efficient service at all times
  • Participate in maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships amongst the team
  • Handle and monitor of guests complaints and the relevant follow up action required
  • Be informed on Guests specific requests and welcome important Guests or Groups
  • Conversant with daily events
  • Interact regularly with guest to obtain feedbacks for improvement and reports guests’ comments and complaints to the outlet manager/F&B Office immediately
  • Ensure guests’ satisfaction
  • Assist customers with their choice of wine or drink and to take the appropriate orders
  • Participate in Eco Standard/Sustainable Responsibility set by the hotel
  • Achieve objectives with the level of resources allocated or available (settings/costs management)
  • Promote beverages and up-sells by using suggestive selling techniques
  • Conduct stock inventories as per Finance Department
  • Conduct amenities supplies, beverage orders and purchases
  • Study the advance business forecasts and programs, and liaise with the Food and Beverage Office about any anticipated needs
  • Assist superior to set the annual operating budget and ensures that it is strictly adhered to and managed on a monthly basis and establish cost management plan
  • Ensure that proper mise-en-place is prepared for each service
  • Organize and assist the service of beverages along with the correct accompaniments
  • Properly handle all materials and equipment to avoid breakage
  • Develop new alcohol packages and wine menus
  • Consult with respective Outlet Managers about organisational aspects of special events/functions
  • Ensure that all beverage stocks are being kept securely

Candidate’s Profile:

  • SC / HSC level or equivalent with professional training and experience
  • Diploma with specialization in F&B from a recognized institution
  • At least 6 years work-related experience in F&B operations with at least 2 years as Outlet Supervisor in hotels or restaurants
  • Computer literate including hotel management system
  • Fluent in English and French both written and spoken
